Once upon a time we used to do a weekly round up of the most interesting news in a week but over time, this feel by the way side – mostly because none of the news was that interesting.
We’re going to try and do a monthly recap of the biggest bingo news in the previous month on a regular basis and in these articles, will recap on new site launches, site closures and the most pertinent of bingo information that we have reported on in the month prior.
We’re in mid-June now so we’re recapping on May 2017 in this piece.
New Bingo Sites Launched In May 2017
Plush Bingo was the first new bingo site to come to our attention in May but it had actually opened in the middle of April. It launched on the Live Bingo Network (LBN) and is powered by the Cozy Games software.
Arctic Bingo was another LBN site we reported on in the new sites section but like Plush Bingo, it’s actual launch date was April
BingoRoo [read more here] was the only site that we heard of actually launching in May 2017 and it has opted for Dragonfish as the network for its games.
Sites Closed In May 2017
The only site closure that we reported on in May was that of Foxy Zero [read more here] and if we’re entirely honest, it wasn’t an unexpected closure nor was it a loss that the industry as a while felt. It was expected considering the current re-brand of the more popular site Foxy Bingo.
Other News For May 2017
One of the most interesting bits of news from last month was that bgo had been slapped with a hefty fine from the UK Gambling Commission. All too often brands float the rules and regulations and all they usually receive is a stern telling offer. bgo were fined [read more here] £300,000 for ignoring advice and warnings!
