Bingo, Casino and Slots News

Over the last couple of days we have reported on a number of new bingo sites that are rumoured to be coming soon to the 15 Network.

At the end of September, when we first heard about Barbados and La La Land Bingo launching, we heard that another site on the network was closing its doors!

It was on 30th September that Rovers Bingo shut and bolted the kennel doors and we have to say, we’re not surprised. Not because of anything Rovers Bingo itself did, just the overall gaming experience on the network.

Farewell Rovers Bingo

Since the Jumpman Gaming software was first used to launch their inaugural site, Quiz Show Bingo (later rebranded as Lights Camera Bingo), we’ve often commented on how poor the actual design of the software looks.

That site launched on 23rd June 2011 and if you look at the clip below, you will see that nothing has really changed since then:

Six years down the line and the software has had little done to improve it and if we’re honest, some of the changes that have been implemented over the years, have not done sites like Rovers Bingo any favours at all.

For example

Video bingo – this was quite an interesting feature on offer but it was only available for a short time before being removed. It was launched in November 2014 yet by August 2015 it was gone “whilst an error was being fixed”. It’s still not back

Chat Rooms – in March 2015 the network made the decision to merge all the chat rooms. This killed the social side of the network in our opinion. They also sacked many of the popular hosts.

More recently the network converted all bingo bonuses to IG bonuses and removed the cash match bonuses on bingo. Now the spin the wheel bonus IS the welcome offer and not an additional part.

In our opinion, all of the above changes might make the network money, but don’t hold much appeal for players.

How Many More Closures?

Rovers Bingo is just one of many that have recently closed on this network, how many more are set to bite the dust? A more pertinent question is how long are the new sites reporting to be launching soon going to be around?

Rovers Bingo notched up four years in the world of online bingo but maybe it was barking up the wrong tree with the 15 Network.
