Everything you need to know about Virgin Bingo

The Virgin Group pretty much turn their hand to anything with success, from Trains to pop, and as of January 2013, Bingo (although they’ve had companies within the gaming world since 2004!)

Virgin Bingo is actually part of a website called Virgin Games and this website operates on Gamesys software. So with plenty of backing behind it and solid history within the gaming world we took to the Virgin Games website with plenty of expectations about fresh gameplay and super attractive offers.

The Website: A Quick Overview

The homepage of the Virgin Gaming website is super slick, featuring in shiny reds and blacks. This interface is amongst the simplest that we’ve seen and you can easily see what this website offers. At the top of the screen is the menu, where you can head directly to the games section, promotions, refer a friend and winners list, and below is a slider featuring the latest promotions. If you want to jump directly to the bingo section then you can do so from the last of the three buttons beneath the slider. Next to this you’ll also see that you can move directly into either the Casino or Slot sections, which are super exciting in their own right (more on these later).

The bingo games: What to expect

Virgin don’t do things by halves and so here you can expect the traditional forms of 90 Ball Bingo (which is most popular in the UK) and 75 Ball Bingo (which is favoured by US residents).

What’s unusual about the bingo section however is that there is a collection of games known as 90 Ball Bingo Adventure. There are 1p games, BOGOF Bingo rooms and Even Stevens games (where you get a bonus for calling bingo if it’s on an Even number). There are also plenty of free games to take advantage of and these can be found on the ‘Free’ tab in the bingo lobby.

Joining the website is super easy, taking just three steps.

Alternative gaming at BGO Bingo

Alternative gaming is split into two sections: Slots and Casino, here’s a rundown on how each operates.

Slot Games

All in all there are 32 slots to enjoy at Virgin Games, with these featuring some of the biggest brand names and jackpots around. These include: Secrets of the Phoenix, Double Bubble and Zeus 3, with the former two allowing play for anything from 1p!

Casino Games

All in all there are 9 different casino games to check out, including: Baccarat, Single Deck Blackjack and 3D Roulette. This may not be the largest collection of Roulette games, but there are some of the most advanced in terms of graphics and should be more than enough for even the most dedicated of Casino Game players.

Every Wednesday between 9pm and midnight they’ll be a super exciting collection of games to look forward to, from cashback games to free bingo. You need to keep an eye out for these however as they launch all of the time.

Red Hot Sundays

Red Hot Sundays are another special day on the Virgin Games calendar. This will see you once more being spoilt for choice as to which free, BOGOF or guaranteed cash game you want to play.

Red Hot Party

For the chattier of players out there Red Hot Party is perfect. This promotion will see you enjoying 2 spontaneous hours of bingo and chat. During this time you can take part in quizzes, media games and be in with a chance of winning some great prizes.

Super Links

Now we get to the big money games. At Virgin Bingo there are plenty of linked games (games that run over multiple rooms); these games run between 8am and 12:30am, with £2000 given away each and every hour!

Red Hot Play

If you love slot gaming then Virgin Gaming have a treat in store. Playing the slots can see you rewarded with random cash prizes of £50!

If you’ve got mates who also play bingo then it’s more than worth your while in inviting them over. Not only are there plenty of great chat games for you both, but you’ll additionally benefit from a £20 cash reward!

The V Points Loyalty Scheme

Whenever you play at Virgin Games you’re going to be racking up V Points. This scheme is Virgin Games’ equivalent of a loyalty scheme, with you receiving 1 V Point for every £5 spent on Bingo, or every £20 spent in the slots or casino sections. These can then be exchanged for some awesome rewards, with the most exclusive of these being Flying Club Miles (which are redeemable with Virgin Games’ sister company, Virgin Atlantic). You won’t find such an offer elsewhere and if you fly frequently this deal is not one to be missed!

Deposits, payments and support

Being the gaming giants that they are it’s no surprise that Virgin games are super flexible as to what methods you can use to place deposits and make withdrawals. The cards that they accept include: Visa Debit, Visa, Visa Electron, PayPal, Mastercard, Maestro, Laser, Skill and Neteller.

Getting a little help on the website is super straight forward too. Just head on over to their ‘Need a Hand’ section, where you can search their FAQs, or contact them directly by email, live chat or phone.

Virgin Gaming on Social Media

It’s an absolute must that players who register here also check out Virgin Games’ Social media accounts. Through Facebook and Twitter they keep their players up to date with every promotion and game that’s soon to launch and given that there are just so many of both (particular of the bargain games on any of the ‘Red Hot’ days) you may otherwise miss out on the many things going on.

Virgin Gaming on the Go

The only improvement that we’d like to see on Virgin Games is their mobile offering. Whilst this is great for Casino and Slot players (with plenty if the games available through any device) there are no bingo games available to be played on the go. That said they’ve done a great job of designing their current mobile website so we’re hoping that this is added in the near future.

Our Finishing Thoughts

We loved the look and feel of the Virgin Games website, it was clear, uncluttered and easy to use. The atmosphere doesn’t fare too badly either and with plenty of chat games launching all the time you’ll certainly not be stuck for places to make bingo buddies.

The Casino and Slot game sections are as impressive as each other, with plenty of massive brand names and all the Casino games that you could wish for, not to mention the fact that you can win some massive amounts through such games.

Virgin Games is packed full of promotions and with plenty of these offering special bingo games there are more than enough reason to be heading on back to the website throughout the week.

The one small point is really only about the mobile experience, as we’re sure that plenty of bingo players would like to be able to play on Virgin Games from wherever they are. However, given that Virgin Games have done such a great job on the remainder of their offering, we’re hoping that this is in the not so distant future. In any event, this is only a minor issue as features such as the V Points loyalty scheme more than makes up for not being able to play on the go.
