Last weekend was all about Valentines Day and the release of the highly anticipated 50 Shades of Grey movie with analysts saying that it’s already one of the best-selling films in terms of opening weekend ticket sales around the UK.

This week's new releasesIf 50 Shades isn’t your kind of thing, and it definitely isn’t for everyone, you might be looking for something else to watch at the cinema this weekend now all the lovesick couples have retreated back in doors!

To give you some help deciding what to watch, here is a guide to this week’s new movies (and there’s not a shade of grey in any of them!):

Blackhat

Chris Hemsworth plays Nicholas Hathaway, a hacker currently in prison on a 15-year sentence. However, after an even bigger hacking threat appears, Hathaway is released to track him down to stop him. Nobody knows who this new hacker is or what he’s targeting, but the American and Chinese authorities are working together to try and bring him down.

Cake

Claire Simmonds, played by Jennifer Aniston, suffers from constant chronic pain and attends a support group to help her deal with it. One of the other group members, Nina, kills herself and Claire struggles to cope, eventually engrossing herself in the details of her death and eventually forms a relationship with Nina’s widower. Claire is left with a decision about whether trying to get better is worth the inevitable pain.

The Wedding Ringer

Kevin Hart, Josh Gad and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting (Penny from the Big Bang Theory) star in this Hollywood rom-com in which Hart (Jimmy) is the Wedding Ringer, playing the role of the best man at weddings for people who don’t have a lot of friends. Dough Harris (Gad) is one of those guys and Jimmy steps into the role of best man for his wedding.
